President Bush on Friday nominated Tom Heffelfinger as US Attorney in Minnesota.

Heffelfinger, a Republican, is with the law firm of Best & Flanagan and specializes in Indian law. He was the US Attorney for the 18 months prior to the Clinton administration.

As US Attorney, Heffelfinger hopes to develop better relationships with tribal leaders, among other minority groups. He says Indian affairs is one of his top priorities.

Heffelfinger must be confirmed by the Senate.
