In an interview with District of Columbia police on Friday, Rep. Gary Condit (D-Calif.) admitted to having an affair with missing internet Chandra Levy, sources told the Washington Post.

The admission comes after Condit aides denied for weeks any existence of a relationship beyond a friendship with Levy, 24, who has been missing since April 30.

Levy's parents want Condit, 53, to take a lie detector test to reveal everything he knows.

Police continue to say Condit is not a suspect in the disappearance.
