Redistricting worries Navajo Nation

Navajo Nation officisls are uging the state of Utah not to break up the voting power of tribal members in San Juan County, which is encompassed by the tribe's three-state reservation.

Council Speaker Edward Begay said he is worried the state's redistricting commission does not include any minority members. State Senate Majority Whip John Valentine said that the county won't be split up.

The county has about 7,000 tribal members of voting age.
