MONDAY, JULY 16, 2001 Secretary of Interior Gale Norton last week hired Eric Ruff as her new director of communications. Ruff was formerly with Cohn & Wolfe, a public relations firm in Washington, DC. He is also a former spokesperson for two Republican Senators. Mark Pfeifle has been promoted to Norton's secretary.
