THURSDAY, JULY 12, 2001

Law enforcement authorities have interviewed a man who alleges that Rep. Gary A. Condit (D-Calif.) had an affairs with his then 18-year-old daughter.

Otis Thomas came forward about the alleged affair Condit had with his daughter after hearing about the disapperance of Chandra Levy. Levy, 24, has been missing since April 30 and authorities have questioned Condit, 53, becaues the two were having an affair.

Condit, who is married, allowed police to search his apartment in Washington, DC, a search which concluded early yesterday morning. Since authorities have no evidence that a crime has been committed, the search was voluntary.

Authorities yesterday also interviewed a flight attendant who claims Condit told her to lie about having an affair.
