Editorial: Don't deny tribes a voice

JUNE 21, 2001 In an editorial today, the Sioux Falls Argus Leader says new gaming compacts which prohibit tribes from making political contributions are troublesome. The paper says tribes shouldn't be denied a voice through political contributions. Even though 7 out of 8 tribes have agreed to the provision and don't contribute much money currently, the paper says they shouldn't even be asked to agree to limit political donations. Get the Story:
