MAY 2, 2001 Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor told The Arizona Republic on Tuesday she has no plans on retiring soon. O'Connor's future on the Court has been of great speculation since the election. She is reported to have told her husband she wouldn't step down if Vice President Al Gore won the race. O'Connor frequently sits on the fence when it comes to Indian law and other cases. She is often the deciding factor in whether a case goes for or against a tribe. Get the Story:
