APRIL 19, 2001 Despite statements by the Akwesasne Mohawk Warrior Society and the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe saying tribal members won't be helping protesters cross the US border into Canada, police fear some protesters will try to do so anyway beginning today. State police troops expect about 1,000 activists to turn out today. Activists are hoping to protest the Summit of the Americas, which begins on Friday in Quebec City. Get the Story:
