Scandal over Clinton pardons heats up

FEBRUARY 22, 2001 Controversy over the pardons of President Bill Clinton brewed again on Wednesday with the revelation that his brother-in-law was paid about $400,000 to help get two convicted felons out of jail. Clinton and Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY) have denied knowledge of the involvement of Hugh Rodham, the former First Lady's brother.
