MONDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2001 The United States hit Afghanistan in a second round of attacks today, continuing its campaign against terrorist camps and the Taliban ruling power. Explosions were reported in Kabul and Kandahar, two of the cities targeted yesterday in a three-wave strike by U.S. and British forces. Tonight's strikes began at 8:30 p.m. Afghanistan time, media sources reported. Get the Story:
