Leaders and officials in New Hampshire are increasingly speaking out against a proposal tribal casino in Maine.

The opponents fear crime, traffic and a loss of jobs if the Passamaquoddy Tribe and the Penobscot Nation open a casino. The tribes announced their proposal this year but are waiting until next year to push it before the Legislature.

The major location under consideration in the southern port of Kittery. It is located near the borders of New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
