FRIDAY, MARCH 8, 2002 Mescalero Apache Nation President Sara Misquez is considering renovating the New Mexico tribe's casino and inn, reports The Albuquerque Journal. Discussions are preliminary, the tribe points out. Misquez in a letter to tribal members said the Inn of the Mountain Gods and the casino would be torn down for a larger resort. The tribe has refused to sign a new casino compact with the state and is challenging payments required under a 1997 agreement. Get the Story:
