Casino money increase supported

A plan to double the amount of money five Connecticut towns receive from tribal casinos gained support on Wednesday.

The Southeastern Connecticut Council of Governments said it would support in writing and in testimony the increase in funds so long as other communities don't suffer. The money would go to the towns of Montville, Norwich, Preston, Ledyard and North Stonington.
