WEDNESDAY, MARCH 13, 2002 An opponent of a tribal gaming initiative has succeeded in pushing through a study of casinos in Idaho. The Senate by a 20-14 vote passed a bill to assess the economic impacts of gaming. Sen. Grant Ipsen, a Republican from Boise, sponsored the measure. Ipsen is leading an effort to challenge a ballot initiative sponsored by the Coeur d'Alene Tribe and the Nez Perce Tribe. Get the Story:
