The prospect of a tribal casino in southern Maine has residents of the town of Kittery buzzing.

The Penobscot Nation and the Passamaquoddy Tribe have proposed to build a casino in the port, known for its outlet malls and proximity to urban areas. Some residents are already organizing against it and have opposed gambling in the past.

But even if they don't succeed, Gov. Angus King has promised to veto any casino.
