FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 1, 2002

An Arizona state lawmaker plans to file a bill today to give the state up to 2 percent of revenues from tribal casinos.

Rep. Steve Tully, a Republican from Phoenix, also wants tribes to be able to offer more slot machines. But he doesn't want tribes to be able to swap gaming rights, which is what some have been considering.

Tully's bill also would not allow race tracks to have gaming devices, as the track owners have sought.
