A spokesperson for Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said a bill will be introduced next year to ban betting on sports events by Nevada booking agents.

The National Collegiate Athletic Association supports such a ban, saying it prevents point-shaving scandals. Casino operators say it will do little to stem betting.
