Unlike the state of New York, Wisconsin will not be seeking to replace a budget shortfall with tribal casinos, Governor Scott McCallum said on Tuesday.

Wisconsin could lose between $300 million and $1.3 billion because of September 11's terrorist attacks, said McCallum. But that doesn't justify adding more casinos to the state, he said.

Earlier this year, McCallum rejected an off-reservation casino proposed by three Ojibwe tribes.
