A new player appears to have entered the running for three casinos in the Catskills region of New York.

The Oneida Nation of Wisconsin is touring land in the area, said the tribe's lawyer and a developer who used to work for casino mogul Donald Trump.

Gov. George Pataki (R) has been authorized by the State Legislature to negotiate compacts with tribes for six casinos. Three are in western New York for the Seneca Nation.
