The New York State Lobbying Commission is widening its investigation of Donald Trump's New Jersey company to determine if Trump violated disclosure laws by underwriting a lawsuit against Governor George Pataki.

The lawsuit was filed against Pataki for approving a Class III gaming compact with the St. Regis Mohawk. A court recently ruled that the suit can be heard without the tribe as a named party. An earlier decision had said the tribe was a necessary party but could not be forced to join due to sovereign immunity.

Trump admitting funding a company who produced ads depciting the tribe as criminals.
