G. Michael "Mickey" Brown, former head of Foxwoods Resort and Casino, is now advising the Schaghticoke Tribal Nation in Kent, Connecticut.

Brown was promoting the tribe's proposed casino to 50 business leaders yesterday.

But the tribe would not be able open a casino until it receives recognition as an Indian tribe from the federal government and negotiates a Class III gaming compact with the state of the Connecticut.

Receiving federal recognition alone for the tribe has taken several years.
