State voters approve reject casino

SEPTEMBER 13, 2000 On Tuesday, voters in two Wisconsin communities approved and rejected a casino proposed by the Lac du Flambeau Ojibwe. In Kaukauna, the casino was approved nearly 2 to 1. In Plover, the casino was turned down by just about the same margin. The votes are being held to gauge local opinion of casinos. Get the Story:
