TUESDAY, AUGUST 28, 2001 The Oneida Nation of New York has purchased a 159-acre airport in Verona for $1.1 million. It is not clear whether the airport is located within the tribe's land claim area. A federal court has ruled the land purchased in the tribe's land claim territory automatically becomes Indian Country. Get the Story:
