County opposes casino

AUGUST 18, 2000 The St. Croix County Board has passed two resolutions which would make it more difficult for three Ojibwe tribes in Wisconsin to establish a casino there. The board invalidated a 1994 agreement with the casino partners. They also voted against negotiating a casino unless other local governments support it. Get the Story:
