AUGUST 14, 2000 The California Indian casino market will expand in the coming months, with the announcement of a new casino by the Augustine Band of Cahuilla Mission a second by the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians under development, as well as others in the near future. Tribes see no lack of potential in the new offerings. Many believe they can only lead to increased gaming and benefits for tribes. Tribes earlier this year succeeded in convincing voters to pass Proposition 1A, leading to expanded gaming in the state. Get the Story:
