The Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma has agreed to make a $1 million loan to help bail out a tribal bueiness but only if the firm conducts a nationwlde search for a new CEO.

Terming it a short-term cash flow problem, Cherokee Nation Industries said it would face credit status problems without a loan. But some questioned whether the firm had bigger woes, including leadership.
