The Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska began their e-commerce site 18 months ago with little cash but soon turned into a profitable business after just four months of operation for Ho-Chunk Inc, the development corporation of the tribe. This year, revenues are expected at $3 million.

Since merging with Indianz.Com, a product of Noble Savage Media, a media/technology company formed on the Omaha reservation in 1999, the site has experience a large amount of growth online and off: the company expects to grow out of its 7,000 square foot space by next year.
