Tribe has final say on motorcycle shop

MONDAY, JULY 16, 2001 The tribal council of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians is deciding on whether or not it will let a motorcycle rental shop move into downtown Palm Springs, California. The city council had already voted against the Eagle Rider Palm Springs' proposed shop. But since the land on which the shop would be located is owned by the tribe, the tribe has final say in the matter. City residents fought the store because they believe it will contribute to noise and pollution. Get the Story:
