Lakes Gaming Inc. of Minnesota on Monday announced it has entered into a casino management contract with the Nipmuc Nation of Massachusetts.

Under the terms of the seven-year contract, the company would receive 35 percent of income from a casino. The tribe could buy out the company at the end of four years.

The agreeemnt is contingent on the tribe receiving final federal recognition, gaining approval to open a casino, and obtainining trust land. The tribe is said to be looking at land in Connecticut near the Massachusetts border.
