Alaska Native venture placed in doubt

JUNE 29, 2001 Three Alaska Native Corporations who purchased $2.9 billion worth wireless-spectrum licenses as part of a joint venture with AT&T may be affected negatively by a recent federal appeals court ruling. The District of Columbia Court of Appeals last Friday ruled that the FCC illegaly confiscated the licenses from another company. The Alaska Native Corporations, who put $95.5 million into the deal, are now worried their rights may be affected. Get the Story:
