JUNE 26, 2000 The Wisconsin town of Exeter rejected a casino proposal by the Lac du Flambeau band of Lake Superior Ojibwe and voted to ban any casino in the future. The village of Ashwaubenon was ready to vote on the tribe's plan but the tribe decided to pull their proposal there. The tribe had proposed to share $92.5 million over 20 years with the village and Brown County. Get the Story:
