Tribe sues over casino billboard

MAY 31, 2000 The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut is suing PNE Media of East Hartford, Connecticut over a billboard advertisement. The tribe claims the company failed to honor a renewal option on their contract. The tribe had been leasing space on the billboard since 1997 and intended to continue. Instead, the company sold the advertising space to competing casino Foxwoods, owned by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation. Get the Story:
