A microloan program set up by the Native American Development Corporation will help Native Americans of Montana develop small businesses. The NADC is working in conjunction with First Interstate BancSystem Inc. of Billings to provide the loans, which will start at $500.

Linda Pease, NADC executive director, said the BIA is funding the initial efforts and a non-profit company, the Rural Development Finance Corporation of San Antonio, Texas has promised to invest later this summer.
