MAY 17, 2000 The Mohegan Sun Casino, owned by the Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut, and Foxwoods Resort Casino, owned by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, posted record wins for the month of April. Mohegan Sun posted a 7.6 increase in its April 2000 wins, compared to April 1999. This brings their total contribution to the state of Connecticut to $369,014,845 since opening their casino in October 1996. Foxwoods posted an 8.4 increase, bringing their contribution to $1,070,339,545 since January 1993. The compacts of both tribes require 25 percent of monthly slot revenue to be paid to the state.
