Foxwoods slot revenues slightly down

MAY 16, 2001 Slot machine revenues for the month of April were slightly down from the same month a year before, the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation said on Tuesday. Last month's profits were $65.2 million. In April 2000, they were $65.7 million. Some 300 fewer machines were in use last month, according to officials. Slot wins at the nearby Mohegan Sun casino were up 6.4 percent to $48.4 million last month. The tribes contributes 25 percent of their slot profits to the state, per their gaming compact.
