APRIL 26, 2001

To make way for expansion of its casino, the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians will decide whether to move the Post Office in Palm Springs, California, to a new location.

The tribe will make the decision soon as it hopes to begin rebuilding its casino within 30 to 60 days. The tribe will have to find a building with 55,345 square feet of space on at least a 5-acre site to house the relocated post office, says the Postal Service officials.
