APRIL 24, 2001 A draft study prepared for the South Western Regional Planning Agency says a casino proposed by the Golden Hill Paugussett Tribe would increase air pollution and cause traffic and accidents in and around the city of Bridgeport, Connecticut. The study was prepared by Buckhurst Fish & Jacquemart, Inc., a New York consulting group. It will be discussed by the planning agency on Wednesday. The Golden Hill Tribe is state-recognized. Its Chief discounted the report's findings. The tribe is scheduled to hear a decision on its federal recognition in the coming months. Get the Story:
