The $1.1 billion dollar expansion of the Mohegan Tribe's Mohegan Sun casino includes a 1,200-room hotel and convention center that the tribe is marketing as the premier location for conventions and corporate meetings.

The Connecticut tribe won't be opening the new addition until April 2002. But it has already begun booking meetings for the convention center well into the future.
