Oneida Nation credited with economic boost

MARCH 30, 2001 A report by the Zogby International credits the Oneida Nation of New York with helping improve the economies of Madison and Oneida counties. Although specific revenues from the tribe aren't not published, the tribe employs 2,857, 86 percent non-Indians, reports Zogby. The tribe's annual payroll is $63 million. The tribe also spent more than $123 million on outside vendors last year and invested $20 million in capital projects, says Zogby. Get the Story:
