Tribe to host job conference

JANUARY 30, 2001 The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut on Thursday will host a one-day conference focused on employee retention and job satisfaction. State comptroller Nancy S. Wyman will deliver the luncheon address at "Investment in Families — A Community Partnership." Rodney Carroll, an executive on loan to The Welfare to Work Partnership from United Parcel Service, will deliver the keynote address. The tribe has sponsored welfare-to-work conferences in the past. The tribe employs about 13,000 employees at its casino and government. Get the Story:
