Tribe city positive on development

JANUARY 19, 2001 The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and Norwich city officials met on Thursday to discuss a proposed development there and both left with positive feelings on prospects. The tribe and the city have been seeking a way to develop a property in downtown Norwich. Over several years, the size and nature of the project has changed and it now appears the tribe will house its headquarters there. Voting on the issue for the tribal and city councils is expected soon. Get the Story:
