To ease traffic congestion near two two tribal casinos, the Connecticut Department of Transportation has proposed a new bridge and a bypass road.

But local town leaders are already criticizing the plan because they say it only benefits the Mohegan and Mashantucket Pequot tribes. They also say it opens up the area to additional expansion by the Mashantucket tribe.
