TUESDAY, OCTOBER 9, 2001 The New London Day today profiles Mark Brown, who was elected chairman of the Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut a year ago this week. The paper recounts some of the struggles and triumphs Brown has handled since taking helm of the 1,500-member tribe. Bad publicity over a gaming deal and a fisheries plan was countered with a successful $1.1 billion expansion of its casino. Brown also tells the paper he lost 40 pounds. Get the Story:
