Ore. tribe starts economic fund

MONDAY, OCTOBER 22, 2001 The Cow Creek Band of the Umpqua Tribe of Oregon has awarded $70,000 to a local economic development group as part of an effort to attract more jobs to the region. The Umpqua Economic Development Partnership received the money from the Cow Creek Community Economic Development and Recovery Fund. The tribe plans on giving out grants yearly. Get the Story:
