The Poarch Creek Tribe of Alabama will ask Secretary of Interior Gale Norton to allow casino gambling at two bingo halls under construction, said chairman Eddie Tullis.

The tribe is building one hall in Wetumpka over objections of the city. The city has filed a lawsuit to stop the hall, which is located on 35 acres of tribal land.

The other casino is being constructed on 12 acres of land in northern Montgomery County.
