WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2001 Foxwoods Resort Casino, owned by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut, is providing free room and transportation to five firefighters from Florida helping out in the wake of September 11's World Trade Center tragedy. The men were asked to man a fire station in New York City. But hoping to pay respects to the fallen firemen, they also wanted to attend funerals. Running into trouble finding accomodations, they approached the casino for help. A brother of one of the men works at Foxwoods and is also a local firefighter. Get the Story:
