Wyo. inmate suit dropped

The Department of Justice has dropped its lawsuit against the state of Wyoming over the condition of inmates held at the state penitentiary.

The state agreed to comply with a number of demands, including reducing overcrowding, improving health care and increasing staff. The federal government plans to check on the prison to ensure compliance.
