The Bureau of Indian Affairs is planning on reviewing its driving policies in the wake of criticism and dumbfoundedness over a employee who has a long history of drunk driving.

Lloyd Larson has a 15-year-record of drunk driving arrests, citations and convictions in several jurisdictions, according to a search of public records by The Albuquerque Journal. He has had his license revoked at least five times over six years, the paper reported.

Larson had citations on the Navajo Nation, which has been trying to negotiate a compact to share its information with other jurisdictions, and in the states of New Mexico and Arizona. When his New Mexico license was revoked, one former BIA supervisor helped him obtain a temporary, limited license.

Larson currently faces charges of involuntary manslaughter for driving the wrong way on a New Mexico highway and killing two Nebraska couples.
