For the president of the West American Indian Chamber in Denver, Colorado, hearing that top Bush officials have been called to a contempt trial for their handling of the trust fund was great news.

Ben Sherman said he grew up on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota never knowing where his family's lease payments were going. He said his family often found out about them only because white people started grazing cattle or using their land.

Secretary of Interior Gale Norton and Assistant Secretary Neal McCaleb will stand trial starting December 10 in federal court in Washington, D.C.
