Guilty plea in Northern Cheyenne drug ring

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, 2001 A man believed to be at the center of a plan to bring methamphetamine to the Northern Cheyenne Reservation in Montana pleaded guilty on Thursday to a single count of conspiracy. Charles Jesse Sanchez Jr., 36, admitted responsibility for bringing between 500 grams and 1.5 kilograms to the reservation. He was urged by a cousin to start distributing the drug. Two other individuals have pleaded guilty to the conspiracy as well. Sanchez, who will be sentenced January 10, 2001, faces a minimum mandatory sentence of 10 years. Get the Story:
